How to use AI Marking

← Back to Blog

Check my working is live. Paste your solution, get criterion-level practice feedback. About 15,000 problems already have marking guides ready.

This is practice feedback only. It can be wrong. It is not an official HSC mark and does not replace your teacher or tutor.

For students

  1. Sign in and open a problem.
  2. Under the statement, open Check my working.
  3. Prepare your working offline, then convert handwriting to LaTeX (or clear plain text) with ChatGPT / Gemini if you need to — image upload is not available yet.
  4. Paste into Working transcript, remove names and other personal details, tick the privacy box, then Confirm and mark.
  5. Read the breakdown (total marks, criteria, strengths, corrections). Reopen anything from Your attempts.

Limits: 10 uploads per problem (lifetime), 30 across all problems each month (resets on the 1st, Sydney time). The panel shows how many you have used and how many are left.

For tutors

  • Point students at guided problems and ask them to attempt on paper first, then use Check my working for a second opinion — not as the mark book.
  • Sit with the student and review the criterion feedback together; challenge anything that looks off against the official solution and marking style.
  • Use playlists / homework sets as usual; AI Marking is an optional practice layer on top.

Privacy

Strip names, school details, and student numbers before you submit. Only the confirmed transcript and feedback are kept (for a limited time).
